the Anne dress ($78)

I've been intrigued by the poet Anne Sexton since I was in high school. I found her straightforward, confessional style refreshing and even comforting. (I did this reading outside of classes...women writers really got the short shrift in those days). Before she became a poet, she modeled and sold cosmetics door to door. She always struck me as quite the stunner in every photograph, and I was especially smittin' with a black and white halter dress she wore in a publicity photo. Imagine my delight when I found a similar dress at an estate sale last week! Alas, the dress doesn't fit me, but she sure needs a good home!
